The Team
The team of teachers and a technician making up The English School Physics Department bring together a wealth of experience and qualifications, supporting students' learning. We believe that teaching should be student centered with an emphasis on practical work and relevance to every day experiences. Above all, we believe that Physics should be enjoyable and interesting.

The Department has recently relocated to The New Science Building where it boasts four new and spacious practical laboratories and a fifth teaching room. There are also excellent technical preparation rooms and store rooms allowing the department to function effectively. Student's work and interesting experimental apparatus are displayed throughout the department and the laboratories themselves are bright and modern, providing a positive, relaxed learning environment.
We are fully equipped in terms of resources, with a fantastic range of apparatus - from simple, everyday resources such as light bulbs and batteries, rulers and masses, to up-to-date modern technology. This includes computers with internet access, data-logging equipment and projectors, providing a multimedia learning experience. Students have the opportunity to experience, first-hand many of the physical phenomena on the Physics syllabus, throughout the age range.
