The Cyprus Computer Society and the Ministry of Education organised the Pancyprian Student Olympiad in Informatics for 2017.

The competition was open to students of both private and public high schools.

What is fantastic about this olympiad is that when students excel in the International and Balkan Olympiads in Informatics, by obtaining either a gold, silver or bronze medal award, they are automatically accepted in departments of the University of Cyprus without having to take any entrance examinations.

Our student, Christos Falas, managed to get to the second stage of the competition and he was awarded a certificate. We are now waiting for the results of the next stage. We wish him all the best of luck!
