On Saturday and Sunday 8th and 9th of April, the Erasmus+ students attended 7 hour classes per day in collaboration with the University of Nicosia on Entrepreneurship. A new pedagogical tool, conceived and put on paper by their Erasmus+ partners from France, Denmark, Austria, and Spain, was used throughout these two days aiming at teaching entrepreneurial skills to students while in action.

The designed focus on the detailed breakdown of activities captured the students’ interest who demonstrated an astonishing amount of energy and motivation. Such activities involved analytical study of sample or existing entrepreneurship projects , identification and definition of required skills and methods , definition of challenges in their geographical surroundings and planning ahead for their teams’ entrepreneurial project, designing  a solution for these challenges and creating a three dimensional model of their proposal.

It was a rewarding experience for all the participants and a step forward for our Erasmus+ project which promotes entrepreneurship to students within all our Erasmus+ partner countries: Norway, Finland, Germany, Poland, Cyprus, Spain and Portugal.
I would like to felicitate the students for their impeccable conduct and remarkable contribution to this endeavor. Their commitment to spend their first 2 days of Easter holidays in promoting entrepreneurship within young people is greatly appreciated as it is one of the main educational European targets.

The Erasmus+ teachers involved, Mr Kamil Kutoglu and Mrs Thekla Papastavrou , have contributed most enthusiastically and effectively in an effort to make this newly invented pedagogy work. A warm thank you for their invaluable contribution!

Last but not least we would like to thank the University of Nicosia for giving The English School’s Erasmus+ project the opportunity to strengthen and enhance the aims of our current partnership. Also thank you for the full catering of the two-day event.
