Astronomy Club's Alzheimer Charity event

The Astronomy Club supporting the Cyprus Alzheimer Society. Thank you to all that supported this worthy cause.

The Astronomy Club would like to thank everyone who donated, baked and sold cakes last week.  We are pleased to announce that we raised 545 euros for the Cyprus Alzheimer Society.  The money was raised from a bake sale that was held in the science building on Wednesday 21st September to mark World Alzheimer Day. 

In the evening a charity event took place at the Science and Space Café, that included an informative talk on Alzheimer Disease by Professor Savvas Papacostas from the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics. Many thanks to ESPA for their generous donation and help during the evening event as well as to Zen Production Studios, Cyprus Amateur Astronomy Community for their help and the Science and Space Café for their support.
