In order to further assist our students during the exam period, support / revision have been organized.  See below the schedules as defined by our departments.  
We wish our students all the best for the upcoming exams.

Biology Revision Workshops

Students have been informed that all Biology teachers will be available during May and June for queries/discussing past papers. This can be done either through prior arrangement or through drop-in sessions if the teacher is available.
Also, students can communicate with teachers by e-mail, weekends included, for queries relating to their revision.
 

Chemistry Revision Workshops

 

Dr. Mavrommatis A Level Chemistry Revision Schedule May 2017

This will begin on Monday 8th May and go through to Friday 26th May inclusive.
The sessions will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30 am to 11.30 am in SB 2.
If any student requires any support outside this programme they should arrange to meet with
Dr Mavrommatis by sending an e-mail to: chris.mavrommatis@englishschool.ac.cy at least one day before they want to meet to make sure that he is available.
 
Week 1 Monday 8th May to Friday 12th May
Monday 8th May:           
Acid/base theory. Multiple choice (MC) questions 1 to 16 and short answer questions 1 to 5.
Wednesday 10th May: 
Acid/base theory. MC questions 16-31 and short answer questions 6-10.
Friday 12th May:            
Equilibrium theory. MC 1-26 and short answer questions 1-4
 
Week 2 Monday 15th May to Friday 19th May
Monday 15th May:         
Equilibrium theory. Short answer questions 5-8
Wednesday 17th May:  
Kinetics (II). MC 1-18. Short answers pages 1-15 (numbering is out of Sequence)
Friday 19th May:               
Experimental Kinetics (II). Short answer questions 1-5
 
Week 3 Monday 22nd May to Friday 26th May
The programme will be decided based on the needs of the students regularly attending the sessions.

Also all teachers are available on all days for students who want to pop in with questions. Students have been advised to e-mail the department in case a teacher is invigilating or is in a meeting.
 

Information and Communication Revision Workshops

 
IGCSE ICT
 
Ms Papastavrou is in school, every day and can meet with students who have questions any period between 7:50-12:30, if she is not teaching. Students are requested to contact Ms Papastavrou to arrange for a meeting.
  

D&T Revision Workshops

Year 5: Tuesday 9th May  p. 1+2, Thursday 11th May p. 3+4
Year 6: Monday 8th May p. 3+4, Wednesday 10th May p. 3+4
Year 7: Tuesday 9th May p. 5+6, Thursday 10th May p. 1+2

Economics Revision Workshops

Year 5: 8-10.00 daily-all year 5 teachers
Year 6: 9.30-11.30 daily-all year 6 teachers
Year 7: GRU; Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9- 11.00 every week until 6th June
Year 7: ANT; Tuesdays 11-1.00 and Fridays 9-11.00 every week until the beginning of exams​
 
The above times will apply after the last day of each year group and throughout their study leave
 

English Department Revision Workshops

 
Year 5: Revision done during class. First English Language exam on Friday, 5th May.
Year 6: Teachers have directly arrange with students revision time for both English Language and English Literature students.
Year 7: Teachers have directly arrange with students revision time for both English Language and English Literature students.
 

Geography Revision Workshops

 
Year 5: Revision time booked directly between the Teachers and Students
Year 6: Revision time booked directly between the Teachers and Students
Year 7: Revision time booked directly between the Teachers and Students
 
Comments:
  1. Students are free to drop in any time asking for assistance.
  2. Students can email any member of the department asking to set-up a meeting on an individual basis or as small groups
 

Greek Revision Workshops

1. Modern Greek for Native speakers: IGCSE/AS/A2 Modern Greek 

Revision sessions will begin on Thursday 11th May and go through to Thursday 25th May inclusive. The sessions will run every Wednesday and Thursday from 8.00 am to 10.00 am in the Greek room (Lloyds)
If any student requires any support outside this programme they should send an email to his /her teacher or to the Head of Department, Christina Ioakimidou: christina.ioakimidou@englishschool.ac.cy at least two days before they want to meet.

Modern Languages Revision Workshops

 
REVISION PROGRAMME IN MLD
YEAR 5 FRENCH
 EFT, KSO, RCH will be available daily for individual revision/support. Students to contact teachers by mail. All past papers have been uploaded on Realsmart with mark schemes for students to practise. Students have been informed that they should work on essays and bring in to their teachers for marking and feedback. Individual oral coaching took place during several weeks prior to their oral exam during breaks and out of school hours.
YEAR 5 SPANISH
VRE will be available daily for individual revision/support. Students to contact teachers by mail. All past papers have been uploaded on Realsmart with mark schemes for students to practise. Students have been informed that they should work on essays and bring in to their teachers for marking and feedback. They also have a revision booklet with answers. . Individual oral coaching took place during several weeks prior to their oral exam during breaks and out of school hours.

YEAR 5 GERMAN
STN will be available when contacted by students. All past papers have been uploaded on Realsmart with mark schemes for students to practise. Students have been informed that they should work on essays and bring in to their teachers for marking and feedback. Individual oral coaching took place during several weeks prior to their oral exam during breaks.

YEAR 6 FRENCH
EFT and KSO will be available daily for individual revision/support. Students know that they can contact teachers by mail. They have been given a revision pack of translations, reading comprehensions and essay questions for the film. Individual oral coaching took place during several weeks prior to their oral exam after school and during the Easter holidays.

YEAR 7 FRENCH
KSO, EFT, RCH will be available daily for individual revision/support. Students will be bringing in extra essays and translations to their teachers for marking and feedback. Individual oral coaching took place during several weeks prior to their oral exam after school and during the Easter holidays.
 

Music Revision Workshops

 
Our 5th form revision plan is as follows:
1. Be available to them during regular lesson times
2. Friday afternoon revision sessions (one for each of the 4 areas of study)
3. Ad-hoc sessions on specifics and in particular dictation questions (times TBC)​
 

Physical Education Department Revision Workshops

 
The following arrangements with 5th Form GCSE and 6th Form AS students for the period of their study leave: 
  1. Teachers will be available to support students with individual issues, including past paper work, during all the scheduled theory lessons.
  2. In addition, teachers will also be available to support students during their free periods, by arrangement.
  3. In particular, the AS theory double periods on Wednesdays (week A & B) will be used to continue the revision of the whole syllabus.

Turkish Revision Workshops

IGCSE, AS and A Level Turkish Revision Schedule May 2017
This will begin on Monday 8th May and go through to Monday 19th June inclusive.
The sessions will run every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 01.30 pm to 02.30 pm in R19 Main Building.
If any student requires any support outside this programme they should arrange to meet with
Mr. Uzuner by sending an e-mail to: Ulker.Uzuner@englishschool.ac.cy at least one day before they want to meet to make sure that he is available.

Week 1 Monday 8th May to Monday 19th June:
Year 3, 02.30-03.30. Room 19, every week until the beginning of exams, UUZ will be available.
 
Year 4, 01.30-02.30, Room 19. UUZ will be available.
 
Year 5, Monday and Wednesday 07.30- 09.30 daily, Room 19. UUZ will be available.
 
The above times will apply from now on and throughout their study leave all the above mentioned year groups. The programme will be considered to be updated as on the needs of the students regularly attending the sessions.
