Extending a warm welcome to our new parents, wishing our students every success for the upcoming internal and external exams and confirmation about ESPA's role.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Now that we will soon be accepting our new intake for next academic year, the Board of Management takes the opportunity to extend a warm welcome to the new parents whose children will be joining our School in September, and to wish them success and fulfilment throughout their time with The English School family.   To our existing parents, we wish their children every success in their upcoming exams, both internal and external.

The Board of Management places great significance on maintaining transparency and constructive cooperation with its stakeholders, all of whom have a role to play in the effective running of our School in diverse ways, but all of equal importance.
The Board is often asked by parents how they may be kept informed on the various issues and developments that are constantly taking place in our School, as happens in any busy and thriving organisation.   Parents have the right to have access to a route through which they can express their views and concerns, and be heard.

It is for this reason that the English School Parents Association (ESPA) was first established on the 12th October 1963 by a group of parents who wished to ensure that all parents were kept abreast, through the membership of one body, of all aspects of the School’s management, and the interests of their children protected, through regular meetings with the Board of Management.   The aim of these parents continues to be successfully met through ESPA’s meetings with the Board since the first ESPA meeting with the Board of Management back in 1963.
The Board of Management wishes to reassure parents that this regular communication with parents, through ESPA, for more than 53 years, has ensured that the parent body continues to be heard and its suggestions acted upon.   This constructive and transparent relationship with parents through the recognised body of ESPA over these past five decades has enabled understanding and the harmonious resolution to any issues which may have arisen over the years.

To ensure that this fruitful cooperation continues to exist for a great many years to come, for the benefit of our students, the Board of Management expresses the sincere hope that parents will continue to make their voices heard through their representative association, ESPA.

Yours sincerely,
DR. GEORGE THEOCHARIDES
Chairman of the Board of Management
