We are delighted to share the incredible news of Ara Mahdessian's outstanding achievement at Japan's International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO)!  Amidst fierce competition, Ara, a student from our School, has garnered a well-deserved silver medal, marking the fifth time a student from Cyprus has achieved this prestigious accolade. Our hearts swell with pride.

We are thrilled to announce that our vibrant Instrumental Programme registrations are still open! This program offers students a unique opportunity to explore their musical talents and develop their skills in playing various instruments. 

In a recent art competition organized by the Cultural Foundation "CVAR" with a captivating theme centred around the sea, young artist Marinos showcased his talent and emerged victorious. 

7 Yellow form group visited “Tameio Evimerias Stegis Nea Eleousa” on 30 June to deliver their Class of ’88 Team Spirit award they received at graduation.

In a remarkable display of talent and dedication, Andrea Georgiou of 5 Black recently participated in the highly anticipated Pancyprian U-18 Athletics Competition, leaving an indelible mark on the event. With her exceptional performance in multiple events, Andrea emerged as a rising star in the realm of athletics. Let's delve into her accomplishments and the recognition she has garnered as a result.

We are thrilled to share the exciting news that our students had the privilege of attending the prestigious Secondary Education Schools Sports Award Ceremony for the academic year 2022-2023, organized by the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth. The event occurred on Wednesday, June 28th, at the Olympic Hall.

 

In an outstanding achievement, Marianna Houtri, a Year 6 Biology student, has secured the coveted first prize in the esteemed International Medical Problem Solving Contest (MPSC 2023), which is one of the many competitions offered by the Biology department to stretch and challenge our most able students. This global event, renowned for assessing medical knowledge and problem-solving abilities, witnessed fierce competition among participants worldwide.

We are happy to announce that Sphera, the F1 in School team representing The English School came 1st in the National Competiton on Sunday and will represent our School and Cyprus in the world finals next year.
