Cyprus Ambassador to the United Nations visits Global Perspectives Class

Global Perspectives students were honored to welcome the Cyprus Ambassador to the United Nations, Kornelios S. Korneliou from New York to their class on Wednesday 13^th.

The United Nations is an integral part of the Global Perspectives course as it embodies international relations and cooperation. 
 
Students had the opportunity to meet the Ambassador, ask him questions and hear all about his diplomatic experience and insights. The Ambassador discussed Cyprus’ position in the United Nations as well as how the UN works and the challenges the UN faces. He offered students a different perspective as a diplomat who experiences the UN first hand on a daily basis.
 
Ambassador Korneliou was very impressed with the level of knowledge and understanding of the young students and felt hopeful for Cyprus’ future which is in their hands.
