1st October 21:09 Malaysian time. The Malaysian F1 in schools world finals are now over and the teams are about to return home.
Both teams performed admirably throughout the competition, preparing late in the night in order to perfect their responses the following day.
The competition was fierce, with 51 teams eagerness to outwit the opposition.
The final result was a success that we hope to build on in the coming years, against teams from countries who have had many years experience . There were fine margins between teams. To give you an example, Ace racing lost the race to go into the last 16 by 1.284secs to 1.289 secs, 5 thousandth of a Second!
The final result was
1st Place: Hyperdrive (Australia) with 906.7/1000,
2nd Place Aurora (Australia &Germany) with 887.5/1000
3rd Place Pioneer (Germany) with 873/1000
ACE RACING came a commendable 16th with 726/1000 and Pegasus came 24th with 660.3/1000.
In 51st position were the Japanese team, Phoenix with 374.5/1000.
Congratulations to the members of both teams and may their efforts inspire the teams of the future to reach the ultimate goal, which is to place our school and country on the highest step of the podium.
