Konstantinos Efraimidis - All Jazzed Up!

Our clarinet and saxophone teacher Konstantinos Efraimidis gave his Senior Recital on Monday 13th May as part of his B.A in Music, Jazz Performance

Not content with having a degree in classical clarinet performance from Thessaloniki University, Konstantinos has been studying Jazz performance on clarinet and saxophone under the tutelage of Charis Ioannou at the University of Nicosia.

Konstantinos is active in the Cyprus Jazz scene with groups such as Steppin’ Out.  Together with Andreas Papapetrou, he has coached our school jazz ensemble and students are looking forward to more opportunities to perform with him next year next year.
The recital was truly an English School affair, as Sarah Fenwick (proprietor of Sarah’s Jazz Club) and Charis Ioannou are both graduates of the school, and Konstantinos and his drummer Marios Spyrou both teach in the instrumental programme.

Registrations are now open for the next academic year. We offer lessons in all instruments, including piano, saxophone, drums and voice, in classical, jazz and rock/pop styles.
