Successful participation in the Ritangle Mathematical Competition 2017

Four of our students took part in the Ritangle Mathematical Competition. They managed to submit a correct answer. By doing so, The English School, Nicosia has been published in the list of schools in Europe who have successfully submitted a correct answer.

Ritangle is a Mathematical Competition for teams of students of A-Level Mathematics, Scottish Higher or the International Baccalaureate. 
 
For the main competition, one question is released daily for 21 consecutive weekdays.  The first question was released on the 9^th November 2017.
The final question unlocked an overall answer based on the solutions to all the questions. 
 
Four of our students participated:

• Andreas Economides A.
• Simonas Petrides
• Andreas Chrysomilas
• Sotos Lois

 
Our students worked very hard in their own time in order to answer these questions and eventually succeeded in getting the final solution. 
Having done so, they have honoured our School with its name being published in the list of Schools in Europe who have successfully submitted a correct answer.

MEI has confirmed that our students submitted the correct answer before the final answer was published.  Only around 10% of the 600 teams registered achieved this!
 
Well done!  You most certainly make us proud!
