Results of Cyprus Geographical Association Competition

On the 17th of March, the Cyprus Geographical Association held the annual
Competition for the selection of the team to participate in the International Geography Olympiad in Hong Kong.
These are organised under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.
The published results are finally out:
For a fourth year running The English School Geography students have again excelled and managed to get 3 out of the 4 top results and will be representing Cyprus at the iGeo International Olympiad in August.
The English School Geography students came joint 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th, as can be seen in the table below:

The iGeo competition (International Geography Olympiad) this year will be held in Hong Kong
In recognition of successes nearly exclusively by ES students for the last three years (see below) I am glad to say that the ministry of education has this year undertaken to cover all expenses for the Hong Kong iGeo trip.
Medals won by ES geography student at the previous 3 international Olympiads:
2018 Quebec Canada 2 Bronze Medals
2017 Belgrade, Serbia, 2 Bronze Medals
2016 Beijing, China 2 Silver, 1 Bronze medal
There will be an awards ceremony on the 10th of April in the Solon Triantafillides hall at BOC headquarters.
