Year 2 Educational Trip organized by the Greek Department
The Greek Department organized an out-of-school activity aiming at enriching the teaching of Cyprus Literature in Year 2.
A visit to the Cyprus Folks Art Museum and the Old Archbishopric Palace took place on the 20th March and 3rd April during Greek lessons.
Students had the opportunity to visit the Old Archbishopric Palace where Archbishop Kyprianos lived and the place he was arrested in 1821. They were guided in both the Museum and the old Archbishopric Palace by Museum's staff.
Furthermore, they were given the opportunity to visit the Exhibition: "Kythrea, the Land of Chytri", which was displayed on the first floor of the Old Archbishopric Palace.
We would like to thank the Museum staff and the Mayor of Kythrea, Dr. Petros Kareklas for the tour and the information, as well as our students and staff for the excellent presentation and the interest demonstrated during the visits.
