Seasons of Love - A Gala festival of Choirs
Friday 22nd March
8:00 pm Pasydy Theatre, 5 euros.
When our best laid plans to attend an international choir festival in Verona had to change, we wasted no time in re-grouping!
Instead, we are holding our own gala festival of choirs for all our families and friends to enjoy right here in Nicosia. On Friday 22nd March, for one performance only, you can enjoy our own celebrated Senior Choir and Senior Chamber Choir "Class Act" in an a cappella programme of contemporary classics including Man in the Mirror and Bohemian Rhapsody. Joining us from Limassol are the Military Wives Choir of Episkopi and Akrotiri. Directed by Elena Gonata, the joint choirs will be performing a selection from their recent CD as well as some ABBA favourites. Lastly, "Convocanti", a group of 10 singers from all walks of life - including two English School graduates, will sing a selection from their repertoire. As guest performers, our star cellists Alexandra Kassinis and Eleonora Missouri-Savvidou will play Vivaldi's only concerto for 2 cellos. What unites all the groups is a love of music and singing and we are sure you will leave feeling uplifted and inspired.

Our next stop? Destination Vienna! Between March 27th and April 1st, 95 music, art and drama students will explore all that Austria's elegant capital has to offer. Among the highlights: the choir will have a workshop and rehearsal with the world famous Vienna Boys Choir and perform at the Leopold Museum. The Arts are Alive!
