Ms. Stella Stylianou on behalf of the “Friends of Kenya” are in the process of sending a container with various items to the Orthodox Mission of Kenya in October, and are asking for our help.
They are asking for The English School Community to donate old English Language and English Literature books that will be given to schools, orphanages and prisons supported Orthodox Mission in Kenya. It’s a shame to recycle books when others need them so badly.
Friends of Kenya are also collecting used clothes, shoes, linen, kitchen utensils, water bottles, children’s medicines and many other things. As a School we will be accepting donations in the Greek Room (in Lloyds) until the 6th October.
The Friends of Kenya will be collecting items by the 10th October and the container is expected to depart a few days later.
