Today is marked as "Safer Internet Day", a day that is very important to our school and students. Safer Internet Day is celebrated every year across Europe and in other counties worldwide.
Today, Year 1G and 1M students will be attending a conference. The organization of the event involves "CyperEthics", a a consortium comprised of Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute, the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education and Culture, MTN Cyprus Ltd, the Pancyprian Coordinating Committee for the Protection and Welfare of Children and the Youth Board of Cyprus.
The Cyprus Safer Internet Centre CyberEthics is a project co-funded by the Connecting Europe Facility Programme of the European commission and it includes an awareness node which promotes the safer use of internet, hotline for the reporting of illegal online content and helpline which provides support to children, parents and educators on the issues related to the use of internet.

This event is part of the celebrations for the Safer Internet Day which is annually celebrated on the second Tuesday of February. This year the event which is interactive will focus on the role of young people for a better internet and it will be commutated under the motto: ‘Play your part for a better internet’.
