Twelve English School Students Achieve the Prestigious Scout of the Republic Award
We are proud to announce that twelve of our Year 6 students have been awarded the distinguished Scout of the Republic Award, the highest honour a young person can achieve in scouting in Cyprus. The awards were presented during a special ceremony held in Limassol over the weekend.
This remarkable achievement reflects the students’ dedication, perseverance, and commitment over a three-year journey. To earn the Scout of the Republic Award, candidates must meet a series of challenging individual and group requirements across a wide range of fields. These include:
- Service to the community
- Planning and carrying out expeditions
- Studying social and environmental issues
- Developing personal skills
- Undertaking first aid training
- ​Active participation in sports and other activities
Earning this award requires not only skill and hard work but also a deep commitment to teamwork, leadership, initiative, and social responsibility.
