Our Pastoral Team of First Responders recently participated in the Spring Term Safeguarding Training session led by Ms Elena Ignatiou, the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and Dr Eva Polyviou, the Deputy DSL.

The training session focused on two crucial aspects: Online Safety, particularly the use of various apps by children and young people, and Affluent Neglect. Attendees delved into understanding the potential risks associated with these apps and explored strategies for educating and raising awareness among stakeholders. Additionally, the session addressed the importance of recognizing signs of affluent neglect and provided guidance on appropriate actions to take in such cases. This marked the third Safeguarding training attended by the Heads of Year and Pastoral Assistant Heads this academic year.

Our team remains steadfast in their commitment to promoting student welfare and ensuring the safety of our students.
