Target Setting
Target setting in all areas of life encourages people to improve their performance continually. If you are not used to setting school-work based targets, the following can be used as guidelines. Targets should be SMART!
S Specific
Targets should be clear with a specific curriculum base. E.g. I want to improve my performance in my English written work.
M Measurable
Targets should have measurable criteria by which you know when they have been achieved. E.g. I will have three sets of revision cards.
A Achievable
Targets need to be achievable yet suitably stretching for the individual.
R Realistic
Possible within the constraints.
