Careers Strategy
We aim to deliver a programme that will provide our students with both ‘character education’ as well as readiness for ‘higher education’ and the ‘workplace'. The English School's Careers Strategy is built around the UK Government’s Careers Strategy and its adoption of eight foundation benchmarks, namely:
- A stable careers programme
- Learning from career and labour market information
- Addressing the needs of each pupil
- Linking curriculum learning to careers
- Encounters with employers and employees
- Experiences of workplaces
- Encounters with further and higher education
- Personal guidance
