The Business Society organises a number of trips to business organisations with the objective of giving the students an opportunity to apply business concepts and theories to practical and real situations. Some of our events included visits to Essentials hair salon, Informer computer firm, Marks and Spencer's PLC, Laikon Kafekoption. The Business Society also intends to visit firms outside of Nicosia.
Every year, the Society invites guest speakers to discuss various issues concerning businesses. It also organizes video shows on business management for its members. The intention is to make students appreciate the complexities, as well as the rewards, of real-life management. This, not only helps to improve their application skills, which are crucial in Business Studies exams, but also makes the subject more lively and interesting by looking beyond textbook theories.
