The English School geography Department joined the GA in the year 2000 and is subscribed to the two publications Geography & Teaching Geography.This membership is one of the best things that has happened to the department. The association gives us updated GA News, discounts on new publications and materials and favored access to the GA Annual Conference and Exhibition (see below). But much more than that it has helped us to developed friendships and links with fellow geographers.

Annual Conference and Resource Exhibitions
These are the highlight for any Geography teacher .They provide an opportunity for Geography teachers to keep up with current developments in teaching their subject. It provides access to new resources and developments. It helps the department spending 3 or 4 days in looking at developments in publications of books, periodicals ,ICT products, fieldwork equipment, recording equipment, maps etc.The GA conference also allows to meet hundreds of fellow teachers, university lecturers,reaserchers,a large number of globally operating associations ,authors ,publishers ,Field Study Center operators ,and Examination Boards.
The conferences attended are funded by the school Development Fund or the Human Resource Dev. Agency are listed below. Every year the department requests as part of its ongoing training needs for one of its teachers to attend the GA Annual Conference held at University campus of the UK.We are grateful that the school recognizes the need for and the benefits of these conferences. Below is a list of the venue, theme of the conference and the member/s of the department who attended.
